  1. I have already stated my opinion that I was not a fan of the LFTH when it came out, but I would like to see something where as if you happen to secure 1st dibs on a box that comes up during the course of the event, you don't get to pick anymore ...it gives other people chance to get a box and it will make a person think twice before grabbing the first box that comes up...logistically may be a pain as (if that wasn't apparent already)] but I feel IMHO that it would be nice to "spread the love" a little bit..would level the playing field somewhat with certain individuas with extra fast internet connections IMHO.....regardless, y'all have fun.. I'll be sleeping! Good luck second time around with the event Rob!
  2. I had condensation issues early on before I put in a fan blowing up from the bottom of the rear cooling plate of the wineador....that and double the beads and have never had a problem for the subsequent years....all holes.are.plugged as well...
  3. What a wonderful suprise after a crappy day at work! Cheers to everyone at FOH!
  4. Hello all....let me preface by saying even though I am a "newbie" so far as posts go, I've been an FOH member since 2006....I've had reasons, justified or not, as to why I don't post a lot, but today I am ,thanks to a cigar that blew me away. ..appropriately an aged and ugly Punch...I'll apologize up front for no pics. I remember when the RS11 got discontinued. ..2008 or 09 to memory. I remember begging Smithy to scrounge me out a box and after a few persistent emails he did find me one. The wrappers are thin (likely a good thing) and god awful ugly. ..almost candela but not quite. These days they might not even qualify for Mr. Ayala's seconds selection. Nonetheless the cigar went like this; First third: creamy and would see in a very pleasant way, ash very white, quite a surprise off the bat. Rate first third a 91. Second third: mostly woody flavors in a pleasant way. No suprises here, burn good and ash white as snow and holding up well. Second third ranked an 89. Last third: this where the cigar literally shocked me. I wad getting some very pure flavors on some of the retrohales...maple syrup, whipped cream and flowers.in varous order with a beautiful complex wood flavor underneath....un-bleeping-believable. Burned my lips. Last third rate 97-98. Best cigar of the year so far for me....id i had smoked this cigar before Rob and the crew posted the aged Punch we might not be having this generous opportunity at a contest for what i am assuming is the leftover lonely box. Last third makes this cigar overall a 94-95 for me. Cheers everyone!

  5. I have to give my 2¢ on this..long time lurking member. My '05 tubos were the first purchase I made from Rob....my box (10 remaining) are as described..and I've had a multitude of cabs and dress boxes,.and certainly later releases are definetly "ready to smoke" sooner than they used to be overall... It is a trend that I hope continues now asy the initial concern around 06-07 about "ageworthiness" is hopefully proved to be dispelled.
  6. I have to agree with khomeinist on this..I've been making wings for my drunken college buddies since around 1979 as a student at SUNY Fredonia ...I do clarify the butter (gently heated before hand and solids skimmed off) prior to using to keep the sauce smooth...and also have added occasionally little amounts of minced or powdered garlic, ketchup and mustard, and sometimes when I want hotter wings, shake some of whatever Louisiana or other hot sauce in with the Franks....
  7. Hi Lisa...I'll take this box for my on line humidor..thank you!!!
