Hohenthal
Quai d'Orsay are difficult to find, as a result they don't sell in huge numbers (how could they?), the rest is history: Another long panetela (vitola Ninfas) already gone. Is it the cigars fault? I don't think so. Silky colorado wrapper, perfect construction, smell out of the box is all dried hay, the actual cigar smells like fresh baked wheat bread, sweet. Draw (perfect) at cold even sweeter. 1st third: After a restrained opening I got gentle toasted tobacco (like fresh ciabatta bread), dried hay and sugar cane. 2nd third: Charming fresh juicy fruit notes and a distant milky coffee. Last third. More toastyness, a touch of liquorice and, even if only for one last but one puff: bitter chocolate. All flavours light and gentle, but far from boring. Nice! Hard to rate though as I am sure it is not a cigar for everybody - for me anyway hence the sheer quality: 90/100. Not a cigar to have after dinner and drinks, but on a Saturday morning it well puts a smile on your face.
