Ellery Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hey fellow FOHers, looking for some info regarding the Macanudo club. Myself and a couple of friends were thinking of heading over here to celebrate the birth of my daughter. Can anyone tell me how strictly they enforce their dress code? We are usually jeans and shirts (t-shirts/collar) type of guys. We are looking for a casual place to smoke cigars, and have a couple of drinks. (And for those in the area, you know its hard to find a place where you can do both.) Any input, or recommendations on other establishments would be greatly appreciated.
aavkk Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 well I can tell you that they do enforce the dress code at Club Mac and no T-shirts and jeans will not get you in the door. Others that are more familar can chime in on Merchants East which I plan to check out. If you guys wont need food or drinks I like the Cigar Inn at 54th and 2nd, nice guys and comfortable. Have a good time.
n2advnture Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Club Mac is nice (they do enforce the dress code) and I believe have a 1 cigar / 1 drink min. I'm not sure if they implemented a "cutting fee" that many are doing now though.
Stalebread Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 The dress code on their web site (club Mac) says no T-shirts, athletic wear, shorts, sneakers, flip-flops. It does not mention jeans. Jeans used to be prohibited but I think they relaxed that a few years ago. I've been in there only once in 2007 and wore jeans at the time.
Ellery Posted September 13, 2009 Author Posted September 13, 2009 Thanks everyone, might just head over to merchants instead
