fryguy Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I just wanted to pass along to those who may be interested and have access to the Travel Channel....Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern visited Cuba recently and a one hour segment premiered Tuesday night on national television. If you missed it just keep an eye on the Travel Channel, I'm sure they'll be repeating it several times over the next few weeks as they normally do with most shows. It was pretty interesting to see sampling of the Cuban culture and the historic landmarks which I hope to someday be able to visit. I've only ever seen pictures of Cuba, it was kind of nice to see it "put to life" on television. One segment of the show in which Andrew visited one of the tobacco farms showed workers harvesting tobacco leaves, and then showing how the leaves are hung for aging, and finally one of the elders on the farm rolling cigars on site for everyone to enjoy. Definately worth checking out if you can tune in the Travel Channel!
compitaveggie Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 It was a great show that showed the true Cuba as I saw it a few days ago. It will repeat this week. Jose
