bunburyist Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 San Cristobal de la Habana - La Fuerza 141 x 50 - Gordito Recently ordered this as a single for tasting from CC so assume from newish box. I'm going to echo some of the other San Cristobal reviews in that appearance was good, with a smooth wrapper and supple to the touch. Aroma at cold was faintly (really faint) floral, with fresh tobacco. Unlit draw was easy, too much so for my liking but still acceptable. Once lit, the cigar began to produce fairly voluminous and cool smoke - as is usual on big gauge cigars with easy draws. The main flavour for me was plain, fresh tobacco. Perhaps the lightest of hints of earth, but that's pushing it. I continued to get light floral aromas from the cigar. Sadly evolution of character was non-existent, so there's little to add to what was a very uneventful cigar. This was my first San Cristobal, and I'd class it as a golf cigar at best I'm afraid. I smoked this cigar at a rooftop bar in the city, hence the suspect pics. Last week I shared a Siglo VI with my gf as her first cigar. Whilst she's not a big habano fan, she still picked up flavours of grass, earth and even chocolate. With the Fuerza: ''an unpleasant cigar with a not-worth-it aftertaste'' Pretty much spot on I'd say! Poor shots I know - practice needed! Andy
