hellring Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Do different Cuban cigar boxes have different size box stamps? For example should Robusto size boxes have different size stamps than let's say double coronas. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Colt45 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I don't have access at the moment, but to clarify - I believe you mean the Habanos s.a, Hecho En Cuba, Totalmente a mano stamps? I'm sure others will chime in.

Thanks I am also not 100% clear but there is some information regarding box stamps on my website at: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/8-packaging.htm#Stamps
Colt45 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I measured the stamps on a number of boxes - minutos, petit coronas (dress box and slb), corona gordas, churchills (dress box and slb). Keeping in mind that I do not remove the "health warning" stickers and that some of the stamps were partially obscured, I observed that the stamps are not all exactly the same size. The most obvious discrepancy was the Habanos s.a. stamp, in size and thickness. The Hecho En Cuba cartouche was similar in size on all, with differences between an eighth and quarter of an inch in width. I did not take detailed notes - just quick measurements and observations. I hope this answers some of your question.
mm12 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 There are definitely differences, and I don't really see any rhyme or reason other than the fact that generally cabs have slightly bigger stamps than dress boxes. I just pulled out a few boxes from my humidor to check, and: BBF (CAB) = Hoyo des Deux (CAB) > Partagas Serie Du Connaissuer #2 (CAB) > RASCC (DB) > Partagas Lusitanias (DB) = Upmann#2 (DB) > Partagas Serie Du Connaissuer #3 (CAB)
