puros71 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Yesterday the World Baseball Classic 2009 started. We cant talk about baseball with out talking about Cuba. In 2006 Cuba made it to the finals and losing to Japan. It should be very exciting if your a baseball fan. I have put links to the schedule and bracket. http://web.worldbaseballclassic.com/schedule/ http://web.worldbaseballclassic.com/schedule/brackets.jsp
jeromeroselli Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I agree. I wait all winter long for opening day, but the spring training WBC exhibition games that were on Yes Network just didn't interest me. I really tried, but I just don't care. I think the main reason that more people don't care is because they market it terribly. Every yankees spring training game was sold out EXCEPT for when they played Team USA. I find that to be very strange for many reasons. WBC is huge in Japan and Latin countries. They knew it would bomb in the states though. Still odd...
rckymtn22 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I am watching the Canada and USA game right now. Over 40000 in Toronto watching the game. Pretty good game. Canada is giving the USA run for their money so far.
El Presidente Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 It should be. I'm a big baseball fan but I'm not excited at all. I don't even know why. It feels faked, like the Ponderosa on Bonanza. The Ponderosa was faked!!!!!!!
