Saw your name on the board and thought I might ask you a question. (Being the Wise Old Owl and all) My name is Neil and I've just signed up and don't really know what to expect. I'm looking for a cigar dealer thats based somewhere in Spain. I've be buying cigars for Europe and have been a little dissapointed in the quality, thought maybe a Spanish conection might have better cuban cigar quality. Can you help me out? Just thought I'd talke a chance and ask. Nice to meet you and hope all is well. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I can understand coming to this place and asking what you have. You should hang out and read more, before trying to post. It would answer lots of questions.

It is pretty much impossible to to know this without hanging around here a while, but this discussion board is hosted by a retailer. Why don't more retailers have boards connected to their site? Most do not have the balls to sit and listen to what everyone will say (about them.) That is one reason you can know Rob, Lisa et al are straight shooters. They can stomach what people say about them.

Rob and Lisa, the main contacts on this board, are also the main contacts at Club Czar, which is an awesome cigar retailer, based in Australia. Club Czar has nothing to worry about. The principals are great people, truly honest, stand up, good people. They back up their words with action.

Forget particular countries. All regions distributors get whatever Cuba sends. And retailers get what their distributors send. (and if you think Havana or any distributors are sitting around saying, let's send our best here or there, you are mistaken. No one has the time or desire to figure that out - sitting on a bunch of pallets. Yes in the past, things may have been different.) What you need is a retailer you trust to find the decent or great boxes they receive for you.

The most important thing you can do is create a relationship with one or more retailer's you would like to do business with. The only reason to go to a particular country (these days) is to get the Regional Edition released there and nowhere else.

Sure, everyone has their favorite people to deal with, but there are many people here (just about everyone) who would claim that source is Club Czar.
