Taino Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I had a dinner the other day with some people of the Cuban embassy, one of them pulled a cigar case at the end of the dinner and offer some "Partagas Diademas", he told me they were a gift from a friend, and I gladly accepted one. The cigars looked well made, nice wrapper, a bit tight but fine, and the label looked funny, not well glued and too pink for my taste (sorry colt I know you like to wear pink). I've seen very many odd things in perfectly good Cuban cigars in the past so I gave him the benefit of the doubt UNTIL I light it up. My goodness what an awful cigar it was from the very first puff!!!, you would've thought at least they will have a good cigar to offer, ok... fake... but at least a decent one! specially if they wanted to make business with us!!! I absorbed more ammonia than if would've lived for a year in mars! I suffer all the way to the last third when I decided it was too much. You cannot trust anybody these days!
xibbumbero Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 My BIL met some Cuban musicians that were touring the USA. He had them over for dinner and they gave him some Cohibas. He in turn gave them to me. OMG what horrible fakes. I took one puff maybe two but that's all I could take. X
El Presidente Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Sad day when you can't trust the Cuban Embassy. The local ambassador and I had a fine relationship
