kirill Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 After the torrent of good reviews for the '07 RASCC, the question for this one was only: will it live up to the hype? To give a short answer: It did! This specimen was part of a breakfast for champions. It had a bit of a tight draw, but nevertheless there was this immediate presence of flavour that immediatly put a smile on my face. As Rob said somewhere, I want my cigars to make a statement and this one did. No need to look out for flavour, it was simply there. A mixture of a toasty aroma, christmas cookie with a bit of vanilla in the background. It developed a delicious sweet, creamy, buttery mouthfeel. All that you can ask for in a small cigar, till it finally turned bitter and charcoaly(?) in the very last centimeters. Again, I'm not really comfortable to give a numerical rating. For this vitola and this age I believe you can't ask for more, so I'd have to give it perfect score. A great small flavour bomb to be enjoyed whenever one needs a quick reminder why one took up smoking cigars in the first place. I wonder what would become out of these beauties in two to three years and admire anybody that can keep a box that long.
sepp Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Nice review. Call me a Homer but I love this cigar!
El Presidente Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 You nailed it Kirill. You can't ask any more from a Half Corona. Flavour, complexity, consistency....complete satisfaction
