Colt45 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I've been drinking this wine over the past year. It's an IGT - Sangiovese from a number of vineyards. I don't know very much about the producer - Sorelli - but i believe they are based in the Chianti area of Toscana. To my palate, this is an excellent representation of the Sangiovese grape (which I love) - much more so than many Clasicos. Dense mouth feel of black cherry, a bit smokey, with just the right amount of structural tannin. A relative bargain at U.S. $12. I love it.
