El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Hi Prez! I have made this review in the last year. It was Juan Lopez Obus ER 2006 para Francia. Leaf color: colorado Leaf structure: rough, thin, oily Quality: good Intensity of aroma: average force Shades of aroma: noble wood, leather, cocoa beans, a milk chocolate Intensity of taste: average force Shades of taste: bitter, sharp, smoked The first inhalings have shown aromas of coffee grains and a milk chocolate, thin leather, then there were aromas of a crust of rye fresh bread, potato chips with a paprika, easy vanilla chords. To the middle 1/3 - there were earty notes with aromas of a new-mown grass. By the end 1/3 the note of a thin leather glove on a graceful woman hand with fleur thin fruit spirits amplifies. Taste in the beginning mainly bitterish, in the end 1/3 passing in caramel sweet. To the beginning 2/3 strengthening of animal aromas, shades of coffee-espresso, the bitter chocolate, passing in aromas of noble wood. Taste becomes sweet-bitter. To the middle 2/3 - aromas of the bottom layer of a wood, a mycelium, a damp moss, a bilberry bush, dry needles. Suddenly there is a tone of a wood nut and imperceptibly disappears through some inhalings. By the end 2/3 - the animal component "leaves" in horse sweat and muscus, delicate aroma of fresh manure on a background cedar. Taste - sweet-bitter with shades of spices (a muscat, a basil). The beginning 3/3 was designated by appreciable strengthening of the animal aromas which are not straining by the intensity. Has interestingly flashed tone of pumpkin sunflower seeds and the cedar nutlets smoothly passing in a chocolate fruitcake with rum and raisin, gingerbread and by the end 33 aroma of a black mature truffle. In the end 3/3 - has pleasantly surprised tone of a hot baked apple with vanilla powder! Pleasant cigar with a thin "velveteen" cover, more likely easy, passing more close to an average fortress only by the end of smoking. Worthy aroma well made stuffing does honour to factory Juan Lopez. Typical "French" in taste - a sweet-bitter dominant on a background of juicy spicy and sharp shades. Original aroma's charm so grown fond to the frenchmen - in "havana" should be charisma is inherent to a certain extent and be absent excessive animal note. As support to this cigar well prepaired coffee in Turkish style, then after the beginning 23 rather weak, hardly a sweetish drink with good balanced acidity like Marsala Ruby or Malaga. And at a final stage - soft, enveloping, with long aftertasting strong alcohol from a sugar cane, for example, Rum Plantation Venezuela 1995 Vintage. --- "And a woman is only a woman, but a good Cigar is a Smoke".
