stever Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Thanks for the honest review. Too bad these lack character. I've really enjoyed some well-aged ones, but I would like to get some more recent production. Have you had any good ERDM Demis from '06 or '07? Are they not benefitting from the new blend?

Stever/Northo I don't have any ERDMDT currently that are worth a s##t. Two months ago I had some stellar examples from Feb 07. If selecting in Spain...check construction and lift the box to the nose......the nose knows. The aroma must speak to you. You won't go wrong.
Taino Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I think I like better the petit julietas, this are always hit and miss, and when they are plugged you can suck untill your eyeballs pop out.

El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 El Rey Del Mundo Demi Tasse AEP ABR 07 Need a 20 minute cigar? Then the El Rey Del Mundo Demi Tasse is normally one I consider. I selected one from an open box which felt great but had a quite bumpy construction. Aroma at cold was solid tobacco. Clipped the end to find a very good draw and sweet cream/tobacco on the palate. Fired up the foot, drew in and exhaled through the nose….nice pepper bite. When you are a short format cigar you only have a small period of time to engage…..so you had better get a move on. Unfortunately this cigar performed in such a way that it had the entire day. Nice clean tobacco flavours with a hint of a core of milk coffee. That’s it. I wanted to head back to the humidor, pick up the remaining box and put it next to the boxes of du Maire so that they could have a word in the ear of the remaining “Tasse” about what it means to be a small format cigar with PERSONALITY! I may be being too hard on this Demi Tasse but I don’t want to smoke mindless production drivel. Grow a set of balls and make a decision as to what you want to be. I have had excellent Demi Tasse in the past but they have enthralled me from the get go. When young they may not be perfect but they show me something…..something I can hang my hat on and proclaim that they have the necessary guts or complexity for future glory. This cigar showed me nothing. 82/100
