has anyone heard of Free To Air?

google it. i just bought a reciever and had it hooked up in what would have been 10 min if i knew what the hell i was doing or if i was computer savy. now as a football fan i will be able to get all or most of the NFL games w/out the pricey tag that DTV has. and it's all free, except for the reciever. do yourself a favor and at least look into it.;-)

hehe, we only have free-to-air in australia. digital tv was meant to come in in 2005 i think, then it got pushed back to 2008, now i think the target is to abolish free-to-air in 2012. its a bit silly here in australia, people just aren't willing to spend like $50-$100 on a set-top box. that said though, australia doesn't have the 50-100 channels that you guys in america have, digital tv only gives maybe 2-3 more channels. not that enticing a package imo. oh well, it'll happen at some stage.
