culebra Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I was wathching an episode of "A Team" on cable and noticed George Peppard chomping on what appeared to be a long panatela. I want to get a selection of them to try. What are FOH members recommendations?

Chicago Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 » I was wathching an episode of "A Team" on cable and noticed George Peppard » chomping on what appeared to be a long panatela. » » I want to get a selection of them to try. What are FOH members » recommendations? I prefer the Monte Especial #1. A very smooth cigar. The only knock is that you will want to roll up 2 or 3 to get more smoke volume. It is a good cigar to sit and contemplte when you are going to order your next box. Enjoy.
El Presidente Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Culebra. I classify Long Panatela's as anything sub 42 guage and longer than 6 inches. Here is my order of one of my favourite sized cigars. La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'or No 1 (great review in review section here on FOH) Partagas Serie De Connoisseur No 1 (full bodied powerhouse). HDM Le Hoyo De Gourmet (one of the creamiest cigars of all) Cohiba Lancero (Great at it's best. One of the big improvers of 2004) What I love about these cigars is the great tactile feel in the hand. It is like holding a $2000 LE Montblanc pen ;-)
Freefallguy Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Aye, fine comments and truly inspired suggestions El Presidente… but as for your reference to “holding a $2000 LE Montblanc pen”… wasn’t it Freud who said… “Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar” :-)
