Another great BBF

Just thinking out loud......... Another from some singles I've had since September '05.

Great contruction, burn, and draw. Lightly earthy, supple leather, cherry overtones.

Medium density mouthfeel, and medium + in body. Picked up black pepper in the

final third. Smooth and completely balanced. Put me in what I call the "Bolivar lithium

daze". Oustanding.

What's not to love?

They are great when "on". I jave also had some less than stellar 06 examples but at the same time have recently had some superb ones. Blend inconsistency raises its ugly head yet again.

This cigar has changed so much now, for me anyway. It used to be like a stick of dynamite. I still remember the first one I smoked from an 03 DB. It was electric, completely filled my senses and kept me up until 3 in the morning. Now, not so much.

I agree. This was the first Cuban I had the pleasure to enjoy, and it simply left me in a daze (literally...). Haven't had one recently that was anything near the 03 example that I first smoked.

These cigars seem to be out of favor lately. Don't see much talk about them on the cigar board. I haven't had any recent examples, but have found the 03 & 04s to be excellent smokes.
