I was away on business in Europe recently and I was travelling home via Madrid... so off course I have it in my mind to check out the DF Cigar store. And as usual I am running late so I never have as much time as I would like to peruse the shelves looking for the hidden gems you sometimes find at the back of a shelf in an Airport DF shop. So find an actual LCDH in the terminal..some great stuff there even some of the limited editions humidors and off course being Spain..great prices. So I scan the shelves, they have the usual Cohibas, RyJ's,Monte's etc...and then I spy just sitting there in plain view about 8 cabs of ss2...in my best Borat voice VeraNice!...now I immmediately know I am a buyer..but I off course need to inspect the boxes and select the best ones. This is where it got interesting, I dont know where they get their cigars in Airports in general but there are some seriously poorly stored cigars in them. Some of these ss#2's cabs you just couldnt buy, torn cigars, peeling wrappers, a real shame. So I had to go through all 8 cabs under the not so discreet eye of the security guard who appeared outside the humidor as I went to work pulling out and opening up boxes:-P I eventually found 2 cabs(Jul 01, May 02 codes) that passed the visual,..now ss2 cabs are not the easiest thing to transport in ones already full wheelie bag..but at 314 euro a box I decide to worry about that later..:-D ...... which I did at the other side, but thats another story in itself!

So anyone travelling through spain check out Madrid airport for ss#2's there are a few decent cabs left..
