Colt45 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 While this will probably be impossible to answer conclusively, I'm wondering what the probability might be for regional releases to become normal production. With the exclusivity period supposedly changing from three years to one, it seems like Habanos may be gearing up to bring some of the regionals out world - wide?
56Tweed Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Personally I would love to see some of them as regular production; the RA Belis are a prime example though they are not really REs or limited. Judging by the backlash after the announcement that the BGMs would be regular production I don't think it would make everyone happy. Personally I think they will undermine people's willingness to pay a premium for the REs if a number of them end up going regular production. Mike

Well it is a nice marketing angle from Habanos. The distributor takes all the risk (60,000 sticks).....give them a license for a year ......sit back and wait to see how the market reacts :-D Is there a lower risk way of releasing 5-7 new cigars a year
