Cam Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 a while ago, my cabinet humidor broke, will not hold moisture, it can hold up to 600 cigars so I was devestated. I spoke to Lisa and she reccommened a temporary solution, however it's time to do something about the situation. At present, I have 4 boxes stored in a cupboard i created, there are two medium size humidifiers keeping them moist, is this sufficient? the moisture loss seems to be minimal, im good with cigars not cabinets any help will be greatly appreciated.
Colt45 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I would consider using a cooler (eski). They are very good for maintaining a stable environment with minimal fuss. I would use humidification beads or crystal cat litter. You should need very little added water either way. Though not the most aesthetically pleasing solution, it most certainly will do the job, with relatively little expense.
Cam Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 thanks alot colt, it's cam by the way, don't know your name yet, i am relatively new to posting on here, thanks again.

Colt45 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Cam, I hope all works out (Colt is fine - as an international celebrity / singing sensation, I'm trying to keep a low profile) If you need help with the humidification beads, our own n2advnture has a site - www.cigarmony.com - and deals with these things. I'm sure he could steer you in the right direction. He also lists Rob as an authorized retailer, so perhaps Lisa could help you as well. *DISCLAIMER* I am not commercially affiliated with Cigar Czar or Cigarmony.com - I've found enough trouble here without being taken to task for being a shill....
Cam Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 fair enough then, thanks for the info though, generally I'd buy a new one, but the last one cost me 2,900 and lasted around a month and a half so i am open for trying cheaper options before investing :-P
