PSP2 questions

I really like the Partagas Serie P 2's and would like to know a little more about them. When did Partagas start making them? Are there any particularly good years/months to keep an eye out for, and, conversely, are there any known bad batches to try and avoid?

Any advice would be appreciated.

They were released in Spring '05. Earliest boxes were Jan. '05.

The only poor batches I have seen were a proportion of cigars in the months May to August 2005 in the 25's.

PARTAGÁS SERIE P No 2

Habanos S.A. is proud to present the new size from Partagás: The Serie P No 2

The character of its blend springs from a selection of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region chosen for their unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma. A Partagás is immediately recognisable by its deep, earthy flavour.

Habanos from Partagás come in a wide array of shapes and sizes. The best known are the Serie D No. 4, the Lusitania and the 8-9-8, a cigar that is named after the way it is arranged in its box.

The pyramid size (ring gauge 50 and 156 mm. in length) highly demanded and appreciated, allows smokers to taste all the nuances in Partagás special blend. This brand stands out for its unique flavour and character, its high quality standards at every stage and a brand image that happily combines tradition, modernity and class thus building up a trend for years to come.

This Serie P is part of a family that was initially introduced in the early 30’s aimed to the British market and comprising four references within its four series: A,B,C, and D each one of them with its own girth.

Presented in unvarnished semi-boite nature boxes of 25 and 10 units, these Habanos carry on the usual red band that identifies the Serie Line.

This new size will be available in the next weeks on the most selected points of sale throughout the world.

The entire Partagas line is my favorite of Cuban cigars. The PSP2 and the PSD4 are my absolute favorites. :-)
