JMH Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I've been wanting to try one of these, so I hit the back deck armed with an armful of molec. bio & genetics notes, and a nice long absolut rasberry and pineapple juice. It was a fairly nice looking cigar, a dark rustic brown, but with such a box press that you could easily be forgiven for thinking that this was part of Habanos' new cubism-inspired figurado line. It had a perfect draw, firm enough to ensure that the cigar won't overheat. There were a few burn issues with the wrapper, but I think that was the fault of the humi rising to 69% in the last few days. It was a nice full bodied cigar, with predominant flavours of slightly bitter cocoa and rich earth. There was also a very pleasant underlying rustic sweetness which balanced well with the cocoa. Overall, a very nice cigar in a nice size. 86
JMH Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 Forgot to say there were one or two points where the cigar became a bit rough and bitter, but they never lasted for more than three or four draws.
