Colt45 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Not a true review, but a general overview of what I was able to smoke (finally) this past weekend. HdM Epicure No.1: Started out creamy and smooth. Spicy, but not as much a previous sample. Rob had suggested to wait until Christmas to try it, and, as usual, was correct (sorry Ken) Montecristo No.4:Great burn and draw, smooth with a great creaminess, and integrated spice - a great cigar. The fact that I was able to share one with a great friend whom I rarely get to see made it all the more memorable. The star of the weekend. HdM DC:This showed so much promise, but a tight draw got in the way of fully enjoying it. It showed some fruity characteristics with spicy overtones. Draw notwithstanding, I still enjoyed it. Cohiba Siglo IV: The construction, draw, and burn of these are simply the best. Still just too youthful to shine. These are very tempting, but I'm still not 100% sure.
El Presidente Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Bloody nice weekend Colt! 05 Monte No 4's were a real star (not sure what your code was). One of those cigars many people treat with contempt because of it's prevalence. A great Monte 4 is a great cigar indeed. Lisa must have chosed the HDM DC. I will have a word with her
Colt45 Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 » Lisa must have chosed the HDM DC. I will have a word with her Sir, while I appreciate the thought, I am perfectly capable of getting into trouble on my own. Thank you.............................................

siriusstoogie Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Im pressive line up:ok: I lit up a Hoyo DC last Saturday. Pretty nice smoke but it did not knock the Sig VI of the pedestal I tasted cedar with sweet overtones the first third. then it settled to woody with hints of coffee and cocoa. I enjoyed it.
