Just back from Havana. Bought a box of San Cristobal, Murallas. New Limited Edition introduced at the Festival. They are 54 gauge, 7" long. The box is stunningly beautiful. They were rolled in Feb / 06. I haven't smoked one yet. They are beautiful looking cigars. I have not found anything about them on the net, probably because they are a brand new limited edition. My question is, should I let them age before trying them. Also, will they appreciate in price over time ? Thanks.

As far as aging them, try one and see what you think. I've not had any of these so I'm just saying what I would do in your case. Some cigars are better young than old, or at least good enough to be enjoyed young.

Of course, if you bought these as an investment, that's a different story. I have no knowledge of the investment potential of these. Investing in cigars is a crap shoot at best, especially cuban made brands. There are so many variables it's hard to make a guess.

I say smoke them.

Welcome, BTW

Hi "Nova Scotia" ... from Halifax? I'll be up next summer and hope to smoke a few at the Split Crow or the roof of the Duck. Last summer I got my brothers and BIL into cigars a bit, although the young one had already started smoking Cohiba Clubs. Better than Du Maurier anyhow.

I have an Oficio that I'll have to smoke soon to see if I NEED a box. I love SCdH flavors ... those cigars look gorgeous .....
