n2advnture Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 » » Let me tell a little story about how much a lighter can mean to a man. » » I agree Mel (although for a slightly different reason) » » About 2 years ago I went to NYC to what's known now in the group as » the X-mas Herf at Club Mac. » » While there I had the opportunity to meet a great group of guys, most of » which I consider great friends now. » » Since we flew up, I couldn't take a lighter with me so the entire night I » was bum'in lighters from everyone. As I made my way around borrowing » lighters, I didn't pay much attention to the actual lighters that I was » using. People would just hand it to me and I would use it and hand it » back. » » Shaleen (SBP) handed me his lighter and it immediately felt great in my » hand. Heavy, good quality, etc...After getting back home, I sent Shaleen » an email asking if he knew what model # it was. He returned saying he'd » have to check. » » A week goes by and I ask again. He was busy at the time so I figured it » just slipped his mind. Again, he apologizes and said he'll look it up » ASAP. » » ANOTHER week goes by and I send him another email. No response. The next » day the EXACT same lighter shows up in the mail - From Shaleen of course. » » To this day, that lighter means more to me than any expensive lighter I » have. It was a Prometheus Titan and runs about $50 - I have used it a » dozen times a day for the past couple of years without a problem. If it » crapped out, I'd be saddened because of the sentimental value.
CigarZen Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 How about a nice lighter with the FOH insignia? Hmmm ... nice reward/promo item. Order x boxes in Y months and gets a FOH lighter. What do you guys think.

tey Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 » Love my Dupont XTends, all 3 of them :-) The Dupont opus x lighters are awesome.
connoiseur29 Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Don't touch colibri. They have all broken on me. Poor-craftmanship, if you can even call it that.
SeanGAR Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 » Don't touch colibri. They have all broken on me. Poor-craftmanship, if » you can even call it that. Yes .. they truly suck. I buy cheap no-name torch lighters at my local shop ... lose them or they die no biggie. At home I have one of the cooking torches which I love ... burns forever.
