Popular Post VasileDulap Posted January 6 Popular Post Posted January 6 Weather was good enough to go for a walk in the park with my wife so I decided it was good enough for a cigar. Construction on this Hoyo was spot on. I went through some boxes and every cigar was like that. For a 38 rg they are pretty consistent. On the 3 year mark the cabinet smells of sweet tobacco, the cold draw offered wood notes. First third started with a lot of white pepper combined with cedar. After about an inch, the pepper disappeared, being replaced by cream. The second third was the best with cream, cappuccino, cinnamon and some cedar. The smoke had a creamy texture. In the last third the cigar changed, the predominant notes being forest floor and mushrooms. Some white pepper reappeared especially on the retrohale. Overall I would give this cigar an 88-89 score because the last third wasn’t my cup of tea. Maybe time will change that. 8
yuppie Posted January 6 Posted January 6 One of my all time favorite cigars! Especially with a coffee in the morning. When they're on, a toasted marshmallow and cinnamon not can come through. Overall, these are consistent, even good when young, cheap and cheerful! 3
VasileDulap Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Yes, I saw your humidor video. I also enjoy them with coffee and I know that when they don’t have that forest floor or mushroom note they are incredible. 1
