Such a fun episode! Loved seeing a non alcoholic pairing on the pod and I feel like Grinder was in rare form. Plus, the note from Poobah was really nice, and I hope he is doing well in FL -- though it must be easier going back and forth with a G5, ha!

According to Larry David, I think we're past the point when saying "Happy New Year" is acceptable, but Happy New Year!

I (and we) appreciate everyone's support in 2025! We are very grateful.

Thanks Chris - looking forward to Poobah's triumphant return...but he seems to be enjoying his time in FL. He hates that we joke that he has a private jet by the way. 😆

You're so welcome, Giz! You guys really do something special, and I hope you all understand how much the podcast means to your dedicated listeners. Doesn't hurt that you all seem like the absolute best guys around.

And yeah, I think the weather lately won't convince Poobah to come back up north anytime soon. As for his disliking the private jet joke, then maybe he should sell his private jet. 🤣

+1 on the white whales once, twice, thrice or 4x a year. I'm probably not alone in stating that I don't listen with the sole purpose of finding new cigars or spirits. Sure, it's nice to try the recommendations and/or partake in the experience by smoking along, but there's so much more value to the pod than just following the recommendations.

Also on the white whale comment, I almost felt as if the request was for each lizard to smoke a different white whale cigar, as opposed to everyone smoking the same. Sourcing 7+ of the same rare cigar would obviously be tough, but maybe there's a theme (all 90's cigars or similar marcas, etc) if it's a blended episode?

It's a change from the established norm, but wouldn't that be fun? The commentary on tasting would change because you're not directly comparing and contrasting, but it seems in the past year plus, the meat of the conversations have focused on topics, news, emails, life, etc - noticeably less time is spent comparing or discussing tasting notes until the ratings at the end of the episode. Which is not to say that's a bad thing, but sometimes change is good.
