Popular Post El Gato Posted Sunday at 10:33 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 10:33 PM Second unit I smoke. First one was a goid experience so I'm eager to light this up. Cold draw: woody main tone. Draw is good. 1st third: first draws are light, and easy. Sweet cedar and a hint of coffee and cream. Then, the wood predominates as the third goes on. This cigar is different from any other Cuban. I've heard reviews saying it's creamy but, IMO, it's dry. Good but dry. Lots of smoke but quite clean and dry. 2nd third: the wood is even more intense and the coffee is more like an espresso. Strength has gone up a notch, medium. Aroma is great but it's not floral and sweet like most Cubans. It's salty and woody. Heard some reviews comparing it to a Montecristo but it reminds me of a PSDN or whatever. 3rd third: Strength going up to a medium full. Still dry, but not that much coffee is the main tone now. It's been quite good. Different but I'm digging it. Not bad for 14 something euros. The day before I smoked a ABR 24 one with the old band just to see the differences and I have to say they're similar but the older one being more bland which leads me to believe that this cigar is good right off the shelf. But I have to wait a couple more years to try the other ABR 24 units I have left and see how they age. Newer cigar: Older: 7
