I live in Phoenix with a wide spread of temperature and humidity. Triple digit temperature and very low humidity in the summer. Mainly 40's and 50's with a little higher humidity in the winter. I have a small but very tight humidor I just bought. I've got a Boveda 84 and a small trough of water in it. Do I have any hope for getting a decent cigar storage?

What about using Boveda 320 packs to season even though its a small box?

You mentioned your humidor is glass top. They tend to be problematic at holding humidity. Hopefully yours has a good seal. Use it as an opportunity to learn how to better store your cigars, as well as how much larger humidor your next one should be. My first humidor was a glass top that held about 20 cigars. I thought it would be more than enough and quickly learned I needed to rethink my cigar storage. We've all learned to buy larger than we intend to actually use 😆

The good news is Boveda help manage humidity easier than water/beads/foam. Doesn't matter that you've already opened the humidor, but you need to start the 2 week clock over again. It should be seasoned after 2 weeks. You're fine with the 320 size. It's not going to damage anything, but unfortunately you can't use it once the humidor is seasoned. If you don't have one already, I highly recommend getting a bluetooth hydrometer (like a govee, sensorpush, etc) to have a good idea what's happening inside the humidor.

Thanks for the reply. My glass top is now showing 63%rh on a digital instrument. The company says it is pre-calibrated when installed. I put the cigars in about a week ago so they could increase hydration at the same time as the box. How's that for original thinking? LOL.
