For the love of God @eaglebear29, ditch the Bic lighter and get a cheap torch. Like you, I stuck with Bics for a long time because torch lighters would only last a couple of months in my hands before breaking. However, once I found the cheap, Vertigo Cyclone torches online, I haven't looked back. So far, I lose them faster than I can break them. Recommended.

A Bic? Just get a creme brulee torch for $15 and use it for culinary purposes if it's not your thing. Propane makes a huge difference.

That being said - Connecticut wrappers and my tastebuds don't get along.

Cheers!

Funnily enough, it’s the only cigar out of half a dozen where I used a bic, I usually just have it as a backup. Since I’m not home and down at the in-laws I’ve been using this $5 Walmart Scripto orange torch lighter. Seems to work pretty good for the price. I’ll definitely check those out since ya recommend them.

Can you travel with those in your stowaway bag? I forget. Don’t ya have to burn all the gas off? I just didn’t want to deal with it last minute with my 3 crème brûlée torches I have at home for backup since my Sisuman broke. When I get home I’m gonna have them send me the parts.

Thanks for the recommendations, can never have too many of them!

Yeah I left them at home but love the amount of gas they store. Sometimes I grab them first for that reason, if I’m around the house and save the pocket torch for out and about so I don’t have to fill up the little guy as much.  Got a couple cheapos and a really nice one.

Yeah very few Connecticuts have been winners for me as well.

Cheers!

Not that I am aware of if you're flying.

Sounds like you found a good solution for travel with the Scripto.
