Tight draw on this sucker, even after sticking it in the fridge for four hours, but here goes nothing.

Lovely sheen on this medium-brown wrapper. Light-up draw is all coffee, nuts, and honey grahams.

The draw seems much better after lighting, thankfully. Going in, the nutty flavors take precedence, in a delicious combo of sweet and earthy. Some cream on the palate, as well. The finish is all coffee and cream. Maybe a dusting of spice, more ancho chile powder than paprika.

Great mouthfeel from this stick, somewhere between creamy and powdery. Good texture to the smoke, too. Almost luxurious. Guess the fridge did the trick! The first third remains dominated by nuts, though I can’t place which ones just yet. Almost seems like pecan, roasted and sweet. Other than Boli PC’s, these are my favorite of this size range, and this one is reminding me why.

Had a solid ash going all this time. Of course, when I try to snap a pic, it gets camera shy and ash falls crumbling to the floor.

Heading into the second act, there is not a lot of noticeable difference. That said, the smoke seems to alternate between the previous notes, rather than presenting them all at once. At one moment it’s bright coffee, the next roasted nuts. As I get towards the midpoint, however, there’s a slight transition to that honeyed graham that I tasted on the opening draw. Going nicely with the aforementioned flavors.

Last act is pretty standard.  Coffee and leather, some bittersweet cocoa, with hints of spice and nuts mingled in occasionally. Nothing refined or even overly rich, but delectable Partagás notes. Some mongrel still in this, even after five years, and I’ll take it. Anise creeps in near the end, which I’ve come to expect in these. Good finish to a nice smoke.

Gets a 90 from me.

I'm pretty new to the whole CC's and know tight draws are pretty common (had a Bolivar PC plug recently that I had to fix) but is sticking it in the fridge supposed to loosen up the draw?

A fridge is a very dry environment, and leaving a stick in there for 1-2 hours can be a quick dry-box solution. I clip first and test the draw, and if it’s a little too firm, I’ll put it on a paper towel on a fridge shelf. Got the idea from @El Presidente. If it’s severely plugged, though, a PerfecDraw might be your best bet.
