Montecristo Petit Edmundo ca. 2014 (FreeSep24)

Got this box of 25 from a reputable grey market dealer...I had ordered a 10 box!  Anyhow, I had to pitch the box to make space in my limited humidor at the time, so no idea on box code. Unfortunately, much of this box has been plugged, but hey, I got 15 for free!  This particular one, however, was stellar.

First third started off with tons of Monte chocolate, creaminess, just excellent out of the gate. The ash held on for a good long bit! 

Creaminess and chocolate continued into the second third. Perfect draw and a good amount of smoke output. As usual, I paired this with a stout and it was an excellent choice.

The last third remained relatively cool compared to other PE's I've smoked, but the chocolate transitioned into dark chocolate, and some of the creaminess was lost to a bit of warmth and earthiness.

Overall, a great cigar, though I'm convinced that great 22-24's are smoking just as great as some of these aged examples...
