LFD Andalusian Bull November 2023 (FFSJul24)

Picked these up on a whim last fall and decided I finally had the (so I’ve heard) 2+ hours to smoke one. I’ve never been a huge fan of LFD stuff in the past, as what I have smoked has tended to be very black pepper forward, but someone once described these as if Davidoff had commissioned the cigar. 

Right off the bat, I understood what they meant. Compared to other LFD offerings I’ve smoked, these were much, much more subtle and nuanced. The opening was all cedar and almonds, almost in the vein of a Connecticut. After that a bit of a citrus-y note popped into play, like orange zest or bitters you might get in an old fashioned.

On that same note (pun intended) some vanilla sweetness joined the party along with some really light baking spice. At this point I feel like I’m basically smoking a cocktail, and enjoying it as well. The profile stayed relatively consistent throughout the rest of the stick, maybe increasing slightly in strength. That wasn’t a problem for me whatsoever, though. Glad I have another kicking around in my humidor, even though these seem to have become easier to find over the past years.

Overall I’d give these stick a strong B+/A- with some definite room to grow.
