dimakuzm Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I couldn't figure out what year it I'd but I bought it in May 2024 Visuals: Rough surface and uneven shape as expected for the price point. No tears or holes in the wrapper. Tactile: Soft and a bit oily. Cold draw: Couldn't feel much 1st third: Creamy notes are prominent and there is a odd after taste. the cigar is almost one dimensional. Rough aroma didn't retrohale. Not very enjoyable. 2nd third: Wood notes enter the stage and beautifully harmonize with creaminess. Aroma become more present with notes of wood and honey. Retrohale brings wood to the front stage and honey somewhere in the background last third: Wood becomes prominent in taste and creaminess moves to the mid stage. Towards the end the cigar produces a lot of what many would describe as Cuban twang. Overall: It's a good enjoyable cigar however before this one I smoked a conserva and the draw was horrible. If not for the inconsistency in the production and the roughness of the first third, I would rate this cigar at solid 90 points. However with all the factors I would give it 83/100 points. For price point however I'd give it 4.5 stars. 4
hawkeye5050 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Good to see a Jose L. Piedra review. I enjoy the Brevas myself. You should add FFSJun24 to the subject if you want to be in the contest this week. 1
