Former PM laments state of Tory party saying it is ‘mad’ that party of Winston Churchill is ‘banning cigars’

Speaking at a conference in Ottawa, Canada, on Wednesday night, Mr Johnson said the legislation was “absolutely, absolutely nuts”, adding: “I see my beloved party … we’re banning cigars. And what is the point? The party of Winston Churchill wants a ban. I mean, donnez-moi un break as they say in Quebec. It’s just mad.”
