Popular Post eaglebear29 Posted February 15, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2024 I'd guess this one is a few years old as the cellophane on this 5 pack is tinted brown/yellow. Beautiful dark and oily Nicaraguan corojo wrapper from the Jalapa valley. This is a Nicaraguan/Honduran Blend. Sweet heavy tobacco on the cold draw. A NW I prefer at a higher humidity first one had a 69% Boveda they came with and smoked wonderfully, the second I had it at 62% and had too much of an airy tunnel draw even with a punch cut. So this one I threw back in with the 69% and draw was perfect and the flavor was back to how it smoked the first time. Has the little Plasencia P logo that got molded into the wrapper. First 3rd. Nice sweet Raisins on the light up. It rapidly switches as it builds to tasting like you're chewing on a dark roasted espresso bean with a caramelized date. The dark coffee is more balanced out with now a slight date flavor with cream ending the first 3rd. Second 3rd. Tastes more of medium roast now with hints of the date sweetness with more creamy smoke texture and flavor. The coffee is building but is more balanced with more cream as well as lots of flavor, the dateness has faded to a hint on the tongue. End of the second third a white grapiness sweetness hits with the coffee being the second tone with a hint of date. Required one touch up. Final 3rd. White grape vine the main tone on the pallet and dark roast coffee with a hint of creme. Great smoke and Plasencia has been my go to for great smokes, one of my favorite NW brands. I'd recommend this one for a sweeter/Savory blend and if you want something that's a little sweeter and less savory go with the Cosecha 149. 5
