Popular Post Cello Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 Por Larranaga will always have a special place in my heart. I was first introduced to Cuban cigars after relocating to Thailand a few years back. The first few Cuban cigars I tried were nice, but nothing to write home about. Then came the day I tried my first aged PLPC. A local lounge was selling some with over 5 years on them. Blown away may be selling it short. That was the first time I found a flavor to be so distinguishable in a cigar. That sweet caramel was the flavor that had me hooked. I knew the first box I would purchase would be these. Two years later and I've added a few of their cousins to the collection. The MC is also wonderful and in a few months I'll be cracking into my first Galanes. Every few months I test one out to see how the development process is going. Paired with a mixture of thai tea and a shot espresso. A wonderful drink at my local coffee shop. When I first got these they were much more brash. I enjoyed the in your face flavor, but I'm so looking forward to the transformation that will take place. I found this cigar to be consistent all the way through. This cigar has really mellowed out 2.5 years in. At times I'd gets hints of the Carmel undertones, but they were still masked by a rich creamy smoke. Not to much sweetness in the cigar yet, but I got plenty from the drink. This cigar smoked great and I could easy go through them, but I've tasted what's ahead and that's something worth waiting for. A solid B/B+ this time around. 9
MagicalBikeRide Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Nice review. Thanks. I like these both young and old - find them pretty reliable 👌 1
