Popular Post Pmo13 Posted February 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 5, 2024 Though I think they’re suffer from overhype sometimes, the Figurado Melanio always splits the uprights for me. First third opens up with a strong earthy leather note that I seem to get a lot with this blend in particular. Also hanging out in the background is a cedar-y note that actually readys more oaky (this could be from the Bourbon if I’m honest) which rounds it out nicely. From there I get a big rich black coffee, almost burnt popcorn if you know what I mean. Along with that, the dominant tone for the second and final thirds is a strong nutty note, which close as I can peg is reminiscent of walnut. Final third also ramps up in the strength department, not to the head rush level, but in the “if I stand up too quickly I notice” ballpark. Always keep a box of this or another vitola in the range (I’m partial to the Churchill) stashed somewhere in my humidor. Solid B+ stick for when I’m looking for something right down the middle, where I know what I’m getting. 6
