One of my recent discoveries in the NC world.

Charter Oak Connecticut Shade - Lonsdale

Lonsdale: 6 1/4x46

Perfect construction. Mild draw. Even burn, light grey ash.

Connecticut shade- by definition is a lighter wrapper - almost golden color.

Not overly complex. Smooth flavours: creamy to start, with a hint of cedar and chocolate.

Flavour picks up past the first half, with some almond and nutmeg. A bit of cinnamon on the retrohale.

Ashes tipping at about an inch and half.

Consistent smoke - lasted about 90 mins.

In terms of the ashtray - I have had it for many years. Prometheus is the brand - made of heavy glass. Big enough to accommodate a double corona. Has proven to be pretty much indestructible.
