Popular Post SMELTZ Posted January 4, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 4, 2024 After smoking through boxes of 2023 MAG 54, RG Coronas DL, LGC Turquinos, VR Famosos, RA NO. 3 and Partagas Shorts, I am shocked at how good they are in construction, quality and flavor. I am the only one thinking these are smoking as if they have a few years on them and fewer construction/burn issues? 4 1
eg133 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 I’ve been experiencing the same ever since 2020 with the majority of boxes I’ve purchased. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Lt4-396 Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 I've found a pretty consistent trend (on roughly 100 boxes) that 2022 into 2023 had lighter weight cigars. Not loose rolled just not packed with 30% more tobacco like previous years. I don't have that much experience smoking 2023 boxes but the couple dozen cigars I've had with 23' dates were all surprisingly good. ERDM CS, Punch Punch, BPC, BRC, Shorts, D#4, RG Lonsdale all performed very good. Had a July 23' Punch that only rested 5 weeks that was a 92 pointer last week. 2 1
LizardGizmo Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 I agree. 2023 has built on the overall excellence I’ve been experiencing since the mid-2020 boxes I have. Regular production from this period has been outshining almost everything I have from 2017-2019. 1 1
