I like stronger cigars at times, it is sometimes nice to know you are really smoking something. But I also love the elegance and delicacy of lighter cigars that are full of subtlety and grace. Especially in the morning or at the beginning of a relaxing evening. If I smoke a very strong stick, a Liga or LFD, even one of the stouter Padrons, it's usually at the end when it doesn't matter if it blows my palate and rips out all my nose hairs on the retro. 😄 If I'm going to smoke a bunch of sticks, lighter is a virtue to start with! So long as it's tasty. The Nudie Churchills definitely are that. Well put sir!
JPark3 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Just had my third Churchill last night, around just over two months post-delivery. First was day of delivery, second was first 30 days. First two thirds were dominated by a chewy marshmallow, with toasted graham cracker and sourdough subtly popping in and out separately. Last third was a shock to the system, because it was the first time I've gotten a bit of the total package I believe the team was going for. Marshmallow was still there, but was matched my smooth chocolate and I think graham cracker. The best way I can describe last night's smoke was a smores: fort and second were as if it were a double-stuffed marshmallow smore, whereas the last third was a perfectly balanced smore. If time truly does bless the N8, I'm in for a whirlwind. 3

For myself I have never had a Double Corona, Churchill, Double Edmundo etc, bigger cigars that did it for me. Example...I have a box of Monte Double Edmundo. 3 years old. Can taste the flavor but would be thrilled if they were as flavorful (i.e. intense) as the Monte No.4. I’d gladly take those Monte Double Edmundos off your hands if they aren’t doing it for you !
