Popular Post Gamehawker Posted September 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2023 I was roasting some coffee today and decided to smoke a Petit Corona IV. These have been in my humidor for about 2 weeks. I had high expectations for this cigar considering my prior experiences with the prior 2023 Puro Desnudo cigars that I have smoked and also the reviews from other FOH users that have smoked it. The cigar had the same wonderful smell that of barn yard, tobacco and a slight dark fruit. The cigar was very firm and I had no expectations that the draw would be tight unlike a cuban cigar if it felt that firm. The wrapper was a deep dark Colorado brown and had a rosado sheen. Upon clipping this cigar I took a drawn before I torched it and the drawn was slightly firm and the taste was an amazing tobacco and dark fruit. After I lit the cigar the draw was perfect and the flavor was Chocolate cake, dark fruits and a slight shortbread with gobs of smoke. It was absolutely amazing and the body and strength was medium. The 1st third continue with this amazing flavor with some sweetness and also the burn was perfect. The 2nd third continued with the chocolate but the flavors were changing to cookie instead of chocolate cake. The dark fruits were still present but the shortcake changed to vanilla. The strength was still medium. The final third continued with the chocolate cookie and the dark fruits have dropped but a slight coffee taste. No harshness was ever present in this smoke and the strength stayed at medium. I really loved it and nubbed it with a time of 70 minutes. Final thoughts are this is an incredible cigar and I would already rate it as a 92. I am looking forward to seeing where these cigars evolve in time and I fear that I will not have this bundle long so I already ordered another bundle of these. 6 1
El Presidente Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Rolled March 2023. I with you are looking forward to how they transition when the wrapper, binder and filler have had time to meet each other in the sanctity of one's humidor.
