Carlota III 2023 Review (NRWMO)

I had my first one ROTT and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was, no harsh edge. So about 46 days resting and here we are.

 

Full disclosure: I’m having this after I had a custom rolled RyJ Capuletos and then a MC #2

From 2020. Enjoying this with some Texas Bourbon and Guinness.

 

So far (much like last time) I am really enjoying this cigar. I’m not good at differentiating between 1/3’s but here are the flavors I get as I progress through the cigar.

 

Sweet and spicy cinnamon. A bit of baked bread and a warm sugar cookie. Toasted dark chocolate sprinkled on bread. In the last 2” I’m still getting a warm sugar cookie/ chocolate flavor from the retrohale.

 

So far I still prefer the mareva IV petit corona, but that being said, this was still nub worthy. I’d give this at this point a 91.

 

I was going to take another pic going into the 2/3 but of course the ash fell at about 2-2 1/4”.

I love the Carlota. Simply due to time constraints, they and the PC are my two "go to" cigars in the Desnudo/Nudies line.  I am finding the PC to be a little more inconsistent but generally, both are producing 90-93 point cigars for me.
