This is not Cuba specific.

The same story can be told in any country with mandatory military service even in non socialistic/communist countries.

I have so many similar anecdotes from my military service in mid 1980'.

"The game room is open on Sundays but has to be opened by a prisoner. Sunday is their day of rest." I laughed the most at this. 😂
