Grimlock Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 11am straight cut. Foot is all barnyard with some dried grass. Toothy wrapper smells of sweet hay and dried grass. 1/3 - Hay notes are present with a citrus like zing on the retro. Floral notes in the aroma. Hay and toast with light spices round out the rest of the first third. Tapped the ash at about the 1-1/2" mark. 2/3 - There are some flaky ash pieces here and there but for the most part it is an even burn with no touch ups needed approaching the halfway mark. Toasty bread notes continue. Spice notes have faded a bit. Tapped the next ash in another 1-1/2" long chunk. 3/3 - Picking up some heavy cream along with the bready toast notes with some floral notes mixing in. Spice is almost gone. Medium to just under medium at this point. Getting closer to the end, the spice returns and ramps up on the tongue but not in the retro. Burn continues to be on point with no touch ups needed. Woody notes start taking over right at the 1 hour mark. Tapped the last ash as I wrap this up. These were delivered on July 28th so this review comes right at the 15 day mark. These are stored in the tuppordor with Cuban singles at 65% rh. Total smoke time was 1 hour 8 minutes. Not a single touch up needed. I'll give these another 15 days and revisit at the 30 day mark. 3
