Popular Post shokao Posted January 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2023 Sometimes in the morning I like to smoke milder cigars. This Oliva Connecticut Reserve was recommended by a friend that mentioned a great value for this cigar, since you can buy it for $7 in most B&M's. I thought it was worth a try since I liked some Connecticuts before. The construction of this cigar is great. At cold, the draw is great and I could taste barnyard and hay. Just after lighting it up, there was this interesting aroma of french bread which I definitely enjoy. In the first third, notes of cream, cedar and a buttery feel. The ashes fall a part and looks fragile but it doesn't matter as long as it tastes great, right? Between the first and second third, hints of white pepper and brazilian nuts. After a few puffs, I could taste cedar infusioned with cream presenting a sweet aftertaste. In the last third, there is nothing new, only variations of the nuances already presented before. I must say it remained stable flavorwise... I was afraid of getting some bitterness twards the ending but it never happened. Overall, great experience. My rating for this cigar is a solid 85/100. 6
bishop532 Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 I really like the lonsdale size; these are pretty solid cigars for a reasonable price. Nice review. 1
