Popular Post shokao Posted December 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2022 After a long week at work, last friday I decided to enjoy a quick cigar on a plesant night. Grabbed a chunk of 85% cocoa chocolate, latte and ice cold water. My cigar of choice was the Quai D'Orsay No. 50 with box code SMA MAR 19: In the first third, flavors of dry hay, cedar and toasted tobacco. Smooth smoke with the cuban signature draw, not too tight, not too open. A few minutes later, the cigars presents aromas of buttered toasts, impecable burn and persistent ash: perfect construction! In the second third I've noted a interesting transitation: buttered toasts became french toast with a nice citrus aftertaste. A unique flavor that I fail to recall if I've tasted in any other cuban before. In last third, there is nothing new only more citrus flavor alongside cedar, hay, toasted tobacco and honey. Amazing cigar! My rating to this cigar is 8.5 out of 10. Bought another 22 box from our host and it's taking a nap as we speak. I do believe that this cigar changes a lot (for good) with 3+ years. 11
jakebarnes Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Agree with you on the 3+ years. I saw a marked turn in flavor (and getting rid of a weird bitterness in final third) once the cigar was past the 3 year mark. 1
