I haven't loved the El Principe as much as I feel like I should, compared to the La Fuerza, but I've been hoping some age will help turn things around. I think the last one I had was New Years Eve 2021, so it's time to try another one.

First third: Draw is a bit tight but workable. Brown sugar sweetness and pancake. The pancake note is one I've consistently gotten, but in the past it's been a very dry, almost tannic pancake flavor. This time around, it's not nearly as dry and is far more enjoyable.

Middle third: More of that excellent moist pancake and brown sugar syrupy sweetness. The pancake note does lose some of its creaminess, but still not overly dry.

Last third: Not much change, more of the same through to the end.

Overall: The first (of admittedly only a handful) of El Principes that has really turned my opinion on the vitola. So far I've much preferred the La Fuerza but if these continue to improve that may change. 89/100
