Smoked my 1st RyJ Robusto that I've had in the humi for about a year. The smoke seemed tight with a rather hard draw and not allot of smoke on a big draw. However, on smaller draws I did like the flavor but it was very faint. Creamy, smooth and a light touch of sweetness every now an then. The smoke lasted quite a while and burned excellent, it was the tightness and hard draw that I didn't care for. Has anyone had the same experience with these RyJ's ?

Thanks,

I've never tried the Limita Edicion 2003's, but I must say that most RYJ's I've had are rather tight on the draw. Makes them more of an effort to smoke rather than something that's enjoyable.

I know it's a gross generalisation, but that's my opinion dammit! :-P

This release was subject to more bad draws than most.To be honest I am not sure as to why.

Not a favourite.

Thanks mates for the answers to the tight draw.

But at 56 you start to get used to many things softening up.....including the waistline. :-|

I just smoked the 3rd out of my 04 box of RYJ ELs and to my surprise it was the very 1st cigar that I ever through out. ( right into the lake on hole 14 on the golf caorse)

Not that it was bad or anything just plugged beyond belief. Right at the band. Very odd for an 04 cigar.

Prez, I'm hearing from others there is not a RyJ Robusto LE 2003. These year old singles I received was not from you mate. Maybe I just received the wrong year bands. I'm not overly concerned about it at this point though considering a year later and it's brought to my attention. I'll just fire them up and enjoy what I can.

I will take this thread over to the Suspect Cigar Forum.

Thanks Prez.

I had the Robusto and the DC's when they came out and after they sat in the humi for over a year and I thought both types just flat out sucked. It was my biggest disappointment in my LE purchases...there were major construction flaws on both types...and yes, they were both from very well respected vendors...
