Popular Post saltbox Posted October 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2022 The weekend ended up being light on plans so decided to pull out a longer smoke for myself, and thought it'd be a good opportunity to compare some regular production to some "special" production. The wife got an El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse SOR MAY 20. First third: Nice peanut nuttiness, lush creaminess, savory spices. Compared to the recent Short de Punch, the profile was much heavier on the nuttiness and had less of that weird but fun fruitiness. Middle third: Creamy roasted peanut butter, cream, cloves and other savory spices. Last third: Flavor profile doesn't change too much, but the cigar seems to start to get a bit moist and becomes a bit harsher, with the flavors becoming more muted. Overall: Was quite good up until the last third, probably needs some age to settle out the harshness of the last third and smooth out the flavors, maybe also bring out some of the other flavors currently hiding under the nuttiness. More full flavor than the SdP and can see much more potential here, excited to see how the boxes I have age in the long term. 87/100 11 1
