2016 (-ish) Montecristo No. 4

Dipping my toes back in to the wonderful world of cigars after a long absence.. and where better to start than the good ol’ monte 4? 

Warm school night, so expertly paired with a bottle of Fanta and a small tub of Smarties.  

A short review, as to be honest it was rather linear. Nothing really progressed bar the strength. Cedar, black pepper and earthy notes were all i could really pick out. Perhaps my palate has dulled over the years.. perhaps it never existed to begin with.

Burn/construction excellent. Single punch, no touch up required, even on a breezy evening. An hour or so of gentle sipping before i became a tad woozy, and it certainly was on the fuller side of medium for me at this point. 

Unsure of box code, but was purchased in approximately 2016. Spectacular? No. but damn it’s good to be back.

 

oh and the hedge? yes i know.
